Dottie L. (Dietz) Herline

Dottie L. Herline, 80, of Belden Road, Bedford, went to her eternal home with Jesus on,  Monday, January 4, 2021 at Siemon's Lakeview Manor, Somerset County, PA.

Mrs. Herline was born in Juniata Twp., PA. on March 10, 1940, daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Corle) Dietz. From six months of age, due to her Mother's death she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and Clarence Dietz.

In Cumberland, Maryland on July 7, 1958 Dottie married Samuel James Herline. He preceded her in death on February 27, 2015.

She is survived by  Son- Michael J. husband of  Sharon (Bence) Herline, Bedford; Daughter- Mary Lou wife of  Morgan Gainer, The Woodlands, TX; Grandchildren- Beth Ann Volkmer married to Kyle, Hope Ann Reeves, Jan-Morgan Gainer married to Amy, and Janeen L. Ulicne married to Christopher, Great-Grandchildren- Dakota Reeves, Levi Reeves, Liam Volkmer, Jude Volkmer and Cayde Ulicne. Dottie had two sisters Rose Wahl and Shirley Beard and six brothers- William, Chester, Ted, Dale, Jim and Walter.

Dottie retired from the Quality Inn of Bedford, after serving many years as a housemaid.

She was affiliated with the Manns Choice Church of God.

The family would like to sincerely thank Siemon's Lakeview Manor Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care Dottie received.

Dottie dearly loved spending time with her children and grandchildren when possible and was a great friend to many. She will be greatly missed; however, we rejoice in knowing she is with her Lord and Savior and her longtime love and husband, Sam.

Friends will be received on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 1-2PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, at 2:00PM on Friday, January 8, with Pastor Aaron Whetstone officiating.

Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.
