Dorothy Jean (Barefoot) Windham

Dorothy Jean Windham, 76, of Bedford died Sunday, January, 13th, 2013. Ms. Windham was born November 24, 1936 in Alum Bank, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Pauline (Hostetler) Barefoot. Dorothy attended Penn State University where she met her husband, Gerald Oniel Windham.  During her career, she worked as graphic artist for Mississippi State University. Dorothy has called Bedford home for the last 22 years. She had a passion for cooking and loved to prepare meals for fellow residents at Hotel Pennsylvania where she resided. Her favorite delights were flowers and listening to music.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Gerald Windham Jr., his wife, Karla and three sons, Eric, Tyler and Nathan of Madison, Alabama. She is also survived by her daughter, Mary Jane Windham and granddaughter, Meredith Honeycutt. Her other immediate family include brothers J. Robert and Connie Barefoot, Alum Bank; Daniel R. and Elizabeth Barefoot, Bedford; Arthur and Brenda Barefoot, Alum Bank and sisters Lola and Robert Felton, Alum Bank: Jane and Joseph Rizzo, Lancaster and Kay and James Dull, Alum Bank and sister-in-law Nancy L. Barefoot, Alum Bank.

She was preceded in death by former husband, Gerald O. Windham, parents and brother, Dr. James E. Barefoot. Private services to be held at the convenience of the family. The family wishes contributions to be made in her honor to Love, Inc, 80 State St., Everett, PA. She will be missed by all.
