Dorothy M. (Lewis) Seifert
March 14, 1928 — March 30, 2012
Mrs. Seifert was born in Harrison Twp. on Wednesday, March 14, 1928, the daughter of the late Sheridan and Pearl (Miller) Lewis.
On September 13, 1947, she married John F. Seifert. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1981.
She is survived by Daughter- Joyce A. wife of Doug Hechler, Steelton; Daughter- Kay L. wife of Vernon Hunt, Schellsburg; Son- Steven F. husband of Jodi (Mann) Seifert, Buffalo Mills; Sister- Pauline Way, Fishertown. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Douglas, four brothers, Earl Lewis, Sheldon Lewis, Russell Lewis and Paul Lewis and an infant brother, Carl.
Dorothy was of the Methodist faith. She was employed as a nurse's aide at the former Rowser's Foster Home in Manns Choice.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 4th, 2012 with Rev. Mark Griffith officiating.
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
