Doris J. Perdew, 91, of Bedford, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Colonial Courtyard, Bedford.
Doris was born in Buffalo Mills on April 9, 1932, daughter of the late Clifford C. and Bertha S. (Speicher) Adams.
On June 20, 1950, she married her husband Eugene M. Perdew who preceded her in death on January 7, 1997.
She is survived by daughter- Randa wife of Ronald Rhodes, of Everett; grandson- Deach husband of Carrie (Wise) Rhodes, of OH.; great-granddaughters: Katelyn wife of Jacob Chapman, of OH., Hannah wife of Jake Creech, of OH.; great-great-grandchildren: Carson, Ella, Mia, Cora; along with numerous nieces and nephews; and sister Leah Saylor, of Hermitage, PA. Doris is preceded in death along with her parents and husband by sister Phyllis Slack.
Doris was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ.
She was the Manager at Johnstown Bank and Trust for 40 years. She enjoyed knitting and made 100's of Christmas stockings for family, co-workers and friends.
A visitation will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM; and Friday, June 2, 2023 from 10-11 AM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 11 AM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home with Pastor Dana Umble officiating.
Interment will be at Woods Church Cemetery, Rainsburg.
The family would like to thank Tracy Clark from UPMC Hospice for the care and support she gave Doris.
