Donna J. (Bonakowski) Patterson

Mrs. Donna J. Patterson, 63, of Wolfsburg Road, Bedford, died at 11:50 PM, Friday, February 27th, 2015 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Patterson was born in Chicago, IL on Thursday, June 14, 1951,  the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna (Dermody) Bonakowski.

On December 29, 1971, she married Charles W. "Chad" Patterson.

In addition to her husband she is survived by Son- Corey L. husband of  Heather E. (Reinhart) Patterson, Pittsburgh; Grandchildren- Connor & Kaitlyn Patterson; Sister- Karen wife of  Edward Stimach, Forest View, IL; Niece- Leslie Patterson Mock; Nephew- Lucas Stimach; Nephew- Zachary Stimach; Father & Mother In Law- William B. husband of  Isabel (Ickes) Patterson, Bedford; Brother-in-law- Timothy husband of Susan (Slick) Patterson.  She is also survived by numerous cousins.

Donna was a member of the Wolfsburg United Methodist Church.  She was a 1972 graduate of Mt. Sinai Medical Center School of Nursing in Chicago.  Donna was previously employed as a registered nurse at Bedford Hospital.  She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and loved spending time with her family.  Donna was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and she will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held  at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, PA. at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 4th, 2015 with Pastor Beth Pyles officiating.

Interment will be held at  Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Bedford.
