Donald " Sonny" W. Marshall

Donald "Sonny" W. Marshall, 91, of S. Wood Stree, Bedford, passed away at 4:03AM on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Home.

Mr. Marshall was born in Fulton County on June 6, 1928,  son of the late Mervin and Helena (Harris) Marshall.

Sonny was married to Gloria S. (Prisby) Marshall for 57 years. She preceded him in death on December 11, 2014.

He is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Sonny was preceded in death by Brother- Mervin E. Marshall, Sister-Dagmar Marshall Harris, Sister- Lois Marshall, Sister- Helena Yvonne Marshall Thompson, Brother- Vance Ivan Marshall,Sister- Leatrice Marshall Jone,  Infant Brother-Patrick Marshall.

He was a Bedford High School graduate and then served in the US Army.

Sonny worked as a Postman and later retired from the PA turnpike where he worked as an inspector.

He was a member of  Bedford American Legion Post 113, Bedford VFW and Bedford Moose Post 480.

Donald was a member of  St. Thomas Catholic Church Bedford.

A Committal will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 10:00AM at Saint Thomas Catholic Cemetery Bedford.

A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, January 4, 2020 with Father Richard Tomkosky - Celebrant.
