David E. Knee

Mr. David E. Knee, 69, of E. Pitt St., Bedford, died Sunday, October 30th, 2016 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mr. Knee was born in Dutch Corner on Thursday, April 10, 1947, the son of the late Clifford and Thelma Knee.

David married Judy A. (Miller) Knee on November 23, 1968.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Michele wife of Greg Leader, Everett; Son- Scott husband of Nicole Knee, Uniontown; Son- Matt husband of Shawn Knee, Philadelphia; Grandchildren- Allison, Jacob, Wyatt, Maggie, William & Emily; Siblings- Joy,  Bonnie, Kelly & Ilgra.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings.

Dave served in the US Marines during the Vietnam War.  He worked at various farms throughout the area and was employed by the Seaton Company.  He loved football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Dave was also an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Pirates fan.  He enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors.  Dave was very involved behind the scenes at the Bedford County Fair and he loved the time he spent there during Fair Week with his family and friends.  He was a proud grandfather and cherished his grandkids above all else.  Dave was a wonderful man and he will be greatly missed.

A Graveside Service will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park Bedford at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 3rd, 2016 with Rev. Raymond Beal officiating.

Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Louis Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford.
