David B. "Bert" Miller

Mr. David B. "Bert"  Miller, 79, of Spring Hope Road, Bedford died Thursday, April 19th, 2018 at his home.

Bert was born in Bedford Township on November 13, 1938,  the son of the late A. Carl and A. Alice (Zimmers) Miller.

On July 3, 1961, he married Betty J. (Ferguson) Miller.   In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Kimberly S. wife of Kevin Sassaman, Hummellstown; Grandchildren- Evan & Megan; Brother- Robert C. Miller, Bedford; Sister- Virginia L. Carlson, Bedford; Brother- Richard C. Miller, Everett; Brother- Joseph H. Miller, Carlisle; Sister- Alice I. Burnett, Everett; Brother- Thomas H. Miller, Manns Choice; Sister- Patricia A. Diehl, Manns Choice.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry and a sister, Sandra.

Bert served in the US Army and was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church,  He was a supervisor at Lane Metal in Cessna for 35 years. Bert was a wonderful husband, a loving father, a devoted grandfather, a loyal brother and a great friend.  He will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 23rd,  2018 with Pastor Mark Dillow officiating.

Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.  Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2:00 - 6:00 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
