David R. Wilkins, Sr.

Mr. David R. Wilkins, Sr., age 71, of Waterloo, AL died Wednesday, December 19th, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Wilkins, Sr. was born in New Paris, on Sunday, June 1, 1941,  he was the son of the late Raymond and Madeline (Jones) Wilkins.

He was preceded by his wife Margaret L. Wilkins on January 24, 2001.

He is survived by his   Longtime Companion and Partner- Barbara Woodriff, Waterloo, AL; Daughter- Elizabeth wife of  Jack Wilt ,Lacey, WA; Daughter- Betty wife of  Mohammed Eldidi, Lacey, WA; Son- Charles R. husband of  Diane (ingels) Wilkins, MI; Son- Timothy husband of  Ginger Wilkins, Florence, AL; Son- Joseph husband of  Ann Wilkins, Waterloo, AL; Son- Joshua Wilkins, WA; Brother- John Wilkins, Clarksburg, WV; Sister- Betty Jane Hatch, Aurora, CO; Sister- Martha Mason, Aurora, CO. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, David R. Wilkins, Jr., a grandson, Charles R. Wilkins, Jr. and a sister, Mary Bennett

David was a retired truck driver for Gernal Motors Corporation.  He was of the Baptist faith.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg,  Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM, with Rev,. Ruth Shaver, officiating.

Interment will be held at  Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
