David H. Hite

David H. Hite, 84, of Cumberland Valley Twp, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

David was born in Cumberland, Maryland, on May 22, 1940, son of the late to Veryl and Phyllis (Reckley) Hite.

On September 3, 1960, he married his wife Gloria "Carole" (Mitchell).

He is survived by, daughter- Deb wife of Doug Suter, of Bedford; grandson- Jeremy husband of Kaci (Baker) Hite, of MD; granddaughter- Jennifer wife of Corey Snyder, of Everett; granddaughter- Brittany Brumbaugh, of Everett; brother- Don Hite husband of Debbie, of Bedford; sister- Sharon wife of Jim Engle, of Bedford; five great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Braelyn, John, Hannah, Caylee; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

David was affiliated at the Assembly of God Church, Bedford Valley. He is a retired truck driver, at Cover Trucking and from 1977-1989 he was employed at Dave's Texaco and Alignment in Cumberland, MD. David enjoyed racing, hunting, antique cars, his dog "Joey" and he was inducted into the Bedford Raceway Hall of Fame in 2004; the Lord was always his first then his family.

A viewing will be held Friday, November 8, 2024 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 1 PM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Bedford with Pastor Paul Seward officiating.

Interment will be at Bethel Church Cemetery, Bedford, PA.
