David W. Helsel

David W. Helsel, 61, of  New Paris, went to his eternal home with Jesus on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Shadyside Hospital, Allegheny County.

Mr. Helsel was born in Roaring Spring, PA on October 9, 1960, son of Robert D. and Joyce P (Himes) Helsel of Imler.

On March 20, 1982 David married Karen R. (Herline) Helsel.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his parents, daughter- Amanda wife of Shane Hillegass, Freeport, PA; daughter- Katie wife of Craig Cannon, Spencer, Iowa; grandsons- Kolter, Kyler and Kaden Hillegass and brother- Steve Helsel, Imler.

David was employed by LB Foster, Bedford in the Maintenance Department.

He was a member of Manns Choice Church of God where he ran the sound system and served as a Council Member and an Elder for many years.

David was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Bow and Gun Club and Bedford Sportsman Club. He greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing and found great joy in instructing younger people in hunting and fishing.

David was an amazing husband, father, pap, son, brother and friend who touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Private Funeral Service will be held at Manns Choice Church of God with Pastor Aaron Whetstone officiating.

Interment at Cuppett Cemetery, New Paris.
