Mr. Daniel Glenn Callihan, 95, of Market Street, Martinsburg, formerly of Fishertown, died at 6:23 PM, Wednesday, November 14th, 2012 at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring.

Mr. Callihan was born in W. St. Clair Township on Sunday, May 27, 1917,  the son of the late Leeson and Hazel (Miller) Callihan.

Glenn was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth (Way) Callihan, who passed away on April 27, 1982.  On May 12, 1988, he married Grace L. (Custer) Smith-Callihan.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Sandra G. wife of  Dean Miller, Dillsburg; Daughter- Sheila G. wife of  Gordon Bentley, NC; Daughter- Sarah G. "Sally" widow of  Curtis Corle, Alum Bank; Daughter- Stacy G. wife of  Kevin Shaffer, Manns Choice; Sister- Nancy Foust, Hagerstown, MD; Sister- Thelda Smith, DE; Sister- Verla Hinson, York; Sister- Barbara Dishong, Bedford; Sister- Sue Yost, York; Sister- Belva Ewig, Wilmington; Sister- Phyllis Trefz, IL; Brother- Robert Callihan, VA; Step Daughter- Joyce wife of  Gerald Yingling, Roaring Spring; Step Daughter- Rosemary wife of  Larry Campbell, Halleyville, AL; Step Daughter- Kathy wife of  Ernie Kensinger, Martinsburg; Step Son- Kevin Smith, Poolesville, MD. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren,  one great great grandson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Dibert, a son, Stephen Callihan, a great-grandson, Gabriel Rudy, two brothers, Alton Callihan and Albert Callihan and by a sister, Anna Hoffman.

Glen was a member of the Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren, where he was a Deacon Emeritus and taught Sunday School.  Glenn served in the the US Navy during WWII, stationed at the USNTC Bainbridge in Maryland.  Glenn was an electrician.  He was first employed at the shipping docks in Baltimore, MD, he then worked at Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown.  He was the owner of the former Callihans Orchard in Fishertown.  He worked for Harold McCoy Electric and retired from the PA Turnpike Commission.

Glenn enjoyed reading and traveling and had participated in many disaster relief trips with his church.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 19th, 2012 with Pastor Robert Thacker officiating.

Interment will be held at  Mock Church Cemetery, Alum Bank.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2:00 - 7:00 PM at the church.
