Mrs. Cynthia L. Sollenberger, 54, of Salemville Road, New Enterprise, passed away Thursday, May 16th, 2013 at her home after battling cancer for three and a half years.

Mrs. Sollenberger was born at the Bedford Hospital on Wednesday, October 29, 1958, the daughter of  William C. and Ada Mae (Kegg) Myers of Bedford.

On April 23, 1988, she married Norman Sollenberger.  In addition to her husband she is survived by her parents and  Son- Benjamin James, at home; Daughter- Lacey Pearl and fiancé Mark Steele, at home; Son- William Theodore, at home; Sister- Vickie Styer, Bedford; Brother- Vaughn husband of  Teresa Myers, Bedford; Sister- Charlotte wife of  David Mohr, Bedford; Brother- Scott husband of  Leslie Myers, Bedford.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

Cindy was a member of the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren.  She was a 1976 graduate of Bedford High School and a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  Cindy worked in the lab at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital as a microbiologist for 15 years.  She then worked at DelGrosso's in Tipton and most recently, was a purchasing manager at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort and Spa.

Cindy enjoyed gardening, raising goats on the family farm, "Wil-La-Be" and making homemade soaps and jellies.  She took great pride in attending her children's sporting events and was a loyal Pittsburgh Pirates and Steeler's fan.

A Memorial Service will be held at New Enterprise Church of the Brethren at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 25th, 2013.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday, May 25th from 10:30 - 11:00 AM at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Cindy to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718,  Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 or to the charity of your choice.
