Cynthia D. Browning, 63, of Shippy Road, Manns Choice, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at home.
Mrs. Browning was born in Somerset on March 11, 1956, daughter of the late Evelyn (Swope) and David Lohr who survives her of Shanksville.
On June 15, 1974 Cindy married Kenneth E. Browning. She was a loving wife for 45 years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her father David Lohr, Shanksville; Daughter- Heidi R. wife of Mike Maahs, Farmington, MN; Son- Aaron J. husband of Wendy (Bowser) Browning, Manns Choice; Daughter- Candace E. Browning, Everett; Daughter-in-law Michele Luther, Somerset; Grandchildren Donovan, Lavada, David Browning Jr. and Kira; Sister- Gayle Miller, Friedens; Sister- Bonnie Miller, Somerset; Brother- Kelly Lohr, Shanksville. Cynthia was preceded in death by Son-David A. Browning.
She graduated from Shanksville Stonycreek in 1974.
Cindy was employed by Fort Bedford Museum.
Among her many accomplishments, she found time to home school all four of her children and was involved in all of their extra-curricular activities.
She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and sharing her faith. She was a women of prayer and loved spending time with the Lord. Cindy was a member of Christ Victory Church, New Buena Vista. She was very active in her various church families for years, serving on different councils, teaching Sunday School sharing her musical gifts however she could and taking the Youth to Creation Fest. She was also the church Secretary.
She loved spending time with all of her extended families. She also found great fulfillment in her children and grandchildren's accomplishments.
She loved gardening, playing scrabble, and spending time with friends.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 11:00-AM-1:00PM at Christ Victory Church in New Buena Vista a Memorial Service will follow at 1:00PM. Please join us as we celebrate her life and rejoice in her salvation.
