Connie A. Steach,69, of Bedford died Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.
Connie was born in Bedford on Sunday, November 25, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Peter Yurick and Helen (Miller) Cornell.
After the death of her mother Helen, Connie was adopted by her maternal grandparents, the late James C. and Grace M. Miller. She was reared with their children, John M. Miller of Denver, Colorado; the late Raymond E. Miller; the late Carl J. Miller, Dorothy E. Marshall of Carlisle and Anna M. Koontz, the wife of N. Edward of Bedford.
In addition, she is survived by Daughter- Michele wife of Thomas Davidson, Bedford; Daughter- Shawna Steach and fiancé Todd Howsare, Everett; Grandchildren- Leah & Luke; Special Friends- Kim & Mark Heptner, Bedford and Sister-in-Law- Shirley Miller of Bedford; Brother-in-Law- Terry Wyles of Everett and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy E. Wyles and her former husband, Thomas Steach.
Connie was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bedford and a 1963 graduate of Bedford High School. She was an abstractor by trade and owned and operated CS Abstracting and previously was employed by the Bedford Credit Bureau. Connie was a former member of the Bedford Moose and the Bedford American Legion. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, whether it be in person or talking on the phone. Connie also enjoyed shopping, particularly on QVC. When she had time to herself, Connie liked to watched movies. She loved collecting jewelry. Most of all, Connie treasured her family and the time she spent with them. She was especially happy when she was with her grandchildren of whom she was very proud. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 20th, 2015 with Pastor David Weinhold officiating.
Interment will be held at Bedford Cemetery,
Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home in Bedford.
