Clyde C. Wertz

Mr. Clyde C. Wertz, 85, of Bedford,  died at 4:27 AM, Saturday, May 4th, 2013 at Pennknoll Village.

Mr. Wertz was born in Bedford on Saturday, June 4, 1927,  the son of the late Chester and Marion (Crawford) Wertz.

On March 10, 1962, he married Eileen G. (Bishop) Wertz.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Bryan L. Wertz, Woodbridge, VA; Daughter- Brenda E. wife of  Clair E. Guthrie, Woodbridge, VA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Clair E. Guthrie, Jr., Kyle L. Guthrie, Tyler J. Guthrie and Bryanna E. Guthrie

Clyde was of the Lutheran Faith.  He was employed as a Metro Bus Operator in Washington, DC for 33 years.  Clyde was a lifetime member of the Bedford Moose #480 and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 10th, 2013 with Pastor Robert Smith officiating.

Interment will be held at Bedford Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home in Bedford.
