Mr. Clark J. Bowen, 71, of Schellsburg, died at 1:15 PM, Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014 at his home,.

Mr. Bowen was born in Helixville on Monday, April 26, 1943,  the son of the late  Clark Bowen and Cleo (Oster) Bowen-Rudolph.

On July 3, 1981, he was united in marriage to Bernadine H. (Woods) Bowen.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Eric B. husband of  Brenda (Kelso) Weber, Schellsburg; Daughter- Cherie L. (Weber) wife of  Barton T. Jennings, Manassas, VA; Sister- Janet (Bowen) wife of  Norman McCreary, Alum Bank; Brother- Jack Bowen, Williamsport. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Brian, Kyle, Ashleigh, Madison & Zane. Clark was preceded in death by his beloved nephew, Terry McCreary. He was also preceded in death by his loyal companion, his dog, J.R.

Clark served in the US Army from 1969-1971.  He retired from Hiram G. Andrews Center in Johnstown and most recently worked as a Napier Township Supervisor.  Clark Loved his machines and tractors and frequently helped others with them.  Being an avid turkey, deer and bear hunter, Clark could always be found stalking them in the Helixville fields.  He enjoyed visits from his grandchildren, especially when it was time to pick morel mushrooms.  Clark will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held privately at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
