Chester F. Elliott

Mr. Chester F. Elliott, 93, of Lincoln Highway, Schellsburg,  went home to be with the Lord at 5:30 AM, Friday, December 28th, 2012.

Mr. Elliott was born in Londonderry Township  on Wednesday, August 6, 1919,  the son of the late Milton and Catherine (Smith) Elliott.

He was first married to Marcella (Smith) Elliott.  She preceded him in death.  He then married Dorcas E. (Herline) Weyant-Elliott.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Step Daughter- Ruth E. (Weyant) wife of  Rick Whetstone, Manns Choice; Step Son- Jeffrey M. husband of  Tina (Philipp) Weyant, Carlisle; Step Daughter- Rose E. (Weyant) wife of  Roger  Willison, Schellsburg; Sister- Catherine Smith, Everett; Brother- Elmer Elliott, Ohio.  He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his dog, Sophie.  He was preceded in death by his sons, Frank Elliott and Gary Elliott, two infant sons, a step-daughter, Rachel E. (Weyant) Kelso and eight siblings, Harvey, Carl, Charles, Bud, John, Estella, Ruth and Elsie

Mr. Elliott was a member of the Manns Choice Church of God.  He served in the U.S. navy during W.W.II.  Mr. Elliot was employed at the Steel Mill in Detroit, MI for 28 years.  He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union.

A Funeral Service will be held at Manns Choice Church of God, Manns Choice at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 30th, 2012 with Rev. Richard Whetstone officiating.

Interment will be held at  Lyberger Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.  Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at the church.
