Mr. Charles T. "Chuck"  Linkhauer, 94, of McKeesport, formerly of Schellsburg, died at 1:40 PM, Thursday, July 28th, 2011 at Kane Regional Hospital, McKeesport.

Mr. Linkhauer was born in Duquesne on Saturday, March 31, 1917, the son of the late Elmer and Marie (Hensler) Linkhauer.

On January 14, 1941, he married Ruby C. (Wardropper) Linkhauer.  She preceded him in death on June 7, 2000.

He is survived by  Son- Bernard C. husband of  Carol (McLean) Linkhauer, McKeesport; Daughter- Eileen Linkhauer, McKeesport. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Matilda McCabe and Dodie Collins

Chuck served in the US Navy during W.W.II on the LST 597.  He was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Baltimore.  Chuck was employed as a truck driver for Nehi Bottling in McKeesport and as a manager for Oskins Service Station in White Oak.  He was a lifetime member of the Schellsburg VFW Post #4440 and a lifetime member of the Bedford American Legion Post #113.  Chuck was a past Governor of the McKeesport Moose Lodge #41 and a lifetime member of the Bedford Moose Lodge #480.

A Funeral Mass will be held  at St. John the Baptist, New Baltimore at 9:00 AM on Monday, August 1st, 2011 with Father George Jacopac celebrant.

Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Pitt Street, Schellsburg, where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 2:00 PM.

Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
