Charles L. Troutman

Charles Troutman Sr., 91, of Bedford passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at his home. He was born in Cumberland, Maryland on November 10, 1933, the son of the late Fred and Nettie (Yoder) Troutman.

On April 2, 1958, he married Doris (Bennett) Troutman, who preceded him in death on March 10, 2012. He is survived by son- Charles Jr. married to Tina (Williams), of New Paris; son- Vernon married to Debbi (Gross), of Somerset; daughter- Hazle Troutman, of Bedford; and son- Edward Troutman, of Bedford. Charles has two sisters Pauline wife of Edward Burkey and Donna Ray; along with six grandchildren: Holly, Jenny, Jason, Jennifer, Matthew and Amanda; and six great-grandchildren: Brayden, Taeshawn, Tailynn, Lizzy, Briar, and Brynlee. He is preceded in death by son- Eugene "Blue" Troutman, who passed away on June 9, 2015; a daughter- Madeline Troutman, who passed away on September 11, 2022; brothers: Paul, Bill, Mel, Roland, and Jimmy; sisters: Virgina, and Betty.

Charles was a Private in the United States Army for 3 years. He served in the military during the Korean conflict. He worked several jobs during his life, his last main job upon retiring was at Platt and Sons for over 20 years.

He enjoyed watching football and old westerns on TV. He never had much nor did he ever ask for anything. He was always content with what he had in life.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
