Mrs. Charity L. Miller, 93, of Lincoln Highway , Bedford, formerly of New Paris, died at 5:46 PM, Saturday, October 12th, 2013 at Carrol's Rest Home.
Mrs. Miller was born in Helixville on Wednesday, February 4, 1920, the daughter of the late Grover and Edith (Kinzey) Miller.
On December 27, 1939, she married Oscar I. Miller. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1993.
She is survived by Son- Robert G. Miller, Manns Choice; Daughter- Nancy J. wife of Francis Ferguson, Dover; Son- Albert R. husband of Lynn (Woodrow) Miller, Millersville, MD; Son- Marvin E. husband of Gloria (Mitchell) Miller. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded by infant twin sons in 1940 and a son, Wilfred Joseph in 1949. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by two sisters, Goldie Miller and Dora Reighard and by three brothers, Rean Miller, Ford Miller and Edmund MiIler
Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a member of the New Paris United Methodist Church. She greatly enjoyed gardening, especially tending to flowers. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff of Carrol's Rest Home and Grane Hospice Care for their kindness and compassion while they cared for Mrs. Miller.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 16th, 2013 with Pastor Mark Griffith officiating.
Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home in Schellsburg.
