Catherine "Kate" V. (Twigg) Weyant

Catherine V. "Kate" Weyant, 80, of  Manor Drive Ebensburg, formerly of New Paris went to her eternal home with Jesus on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg PA.

Mrs. Weyant was born in Cumberland, MD on June 6, 1940,  daughter of the late William and Myrtle (Waters) Twigg.

On July 3, 1968 Catherine married Delbert V. Weyant. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1985.

She is survived by  Son- Stanley husband of  Bobbi Delozier, Alum Bank; Son- David husband of  Rhonda Delozier, TX; Daughter- Shirley wife of Carl Shippey, New Paris; Daughter- Cathy widow of  Harry Zeznanski, New Paris; Son- Devon husband of  Linda Weyant, New Paris; Daughter- Sonya wife of James Hillegass, Bedford. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.  Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 6 brothers, Carl, Leroy, James, Robert, Donald and Raymond Twigg and 5 sisters, Mary Day, Margaret Kiser, Elsie Merkel, Betty Emerick and Dorothy Smith and 2 beloved son-in-laws Harry Zeznanski and Bryan Jarrett.

Catherine was a devoted mother and grandmother. She worked at Rowser's Foster Home until she retired at the age of 68. She loved crocheting, reading, walks with her kids, talking with her family and going on adventures and vacations with them.

One of her proudest moments was going back to school at the age of 61 to get her High School Diploma.

Catherine loved going to church and was affiliated with Faith Brethren Bible Church and was also a member of Rocklick Hollow Church.

Kate was a compassionate, strong, hard working person who touched the lives of all who had the pleasure to know her.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 5-8PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg  at 10:30AM on Thursday, May 6th,  with Pastor James Espenshade officiating.

Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery.
