Cathaline (Nunamaker) Manges

Mrs. Cathaline  Manges, 87, of Willow Beach Drive, Bedford, died Saturday, April 7th, 2018 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Manges was born in New Paris on March 14, 1931,  the daughter of the late Clewie and Frances (McCreary) Nunamaker.

On November 25, 1949, she married Edgar Lynn Manges, Jr.  He preceded her in death on November 29, 2003.

She is survived by  Son- Edgar Lynn Manges, III and companion Joan Hetrick, White Castle, LA; Son- Rodney L. Manges and fiancee Carol King, Bethlehem; Daughter- Cindy L. wife of  Andy Harr, Salas Hills; Daughter- Karmel  K. wife of  Dennis Whetstone, New Paris; Daughter- Bobbi Jo Manges and companion, Dale Ellenberger, Bedford; Son- Shawn M. Manges, Bedford. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Ryan, David, Chrystal, Caitlin and Caleb, and four great grandchildren, Esnce, Marley, Rhory & Blayne. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her step father, Telford Hutzel.

Cathaline was affiliated with the Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren.  She was formerly employed at Hamilton Watch in Lancaster as a piece maker.  Cathaline also worked at Old Bedford Village and as an aide at New Paris Elementary School.  She was an animal lover, taking care to make sure that the neighborhood squirrels were fed, along with her cat and parakeets.  Cathaline was a loving mother and grandmother and she will be greatly missed.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
