Carolyn V. (Goetz) Frankenberry

Mrs. Carolyn V. Frankenberry, 69,  of Cortland Road, Alum Bank, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, returned home to her Heavenly Father at 11:36 AM, Sunday, May 20th, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Frankenberry was born in Cumberland, MD on Sunday, October 18, 1942,  the daughter of the late Arthur Paul and Eloise Virginia (Freeland) Goetz.

She married her sweetheart, Jerry D. Frankenberry on March 5, 1960.  Their union was later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple.

In addition to her loving husband,  she is survived by Step Brother- Paul Goetz, Biglerville;  and her nine children; Daughter- Karen wife of  Karl Anderson, Richfield, UT; Daughter- Brenda wife of  Charles Burkett, Manns Choice; Son- Doug husband of  Natalie Frankenberry, New Paris; Son- Charlie husband of  Helen Frankenberry, Schellsburg; Daughter- Beth Frankenberry, Windber; Son- Bryce husband of  Torie Frankenberry, Eden, UT; Daughter- Jill wife of  Aaron Buchei, South Jordan, UT; Daughter- Jan wife of  Josh Weinberg, San Antonio, TX; Daughter- Megan wife of  Mike Sayers, Imler. She is also survived by 40 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Carolyn was known for her service to her Father in Heaven and to her family.  As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served in many callings.  Her family was the center of her life.  She was a successful business owner, a loving foster parent, a world traveler and an excellent cook who loved to entertain her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Donahoe Manor Road, Bedford,  at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 24th, 2012 with President Ray Shepherd officiating.

Interment will be held at  Cuppett Cemetery, New Paris.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford and on Thursday from 10:00 -11:00 AM at the church.
