Carol Sue (MacPeek) Thornton
April 17, 1942 — April 7, 2012
Mrs. Thornton was born in Buffalo , NY on Friday, April 17, 1942, the daughter of the late Clarence Robert and Lucy Catherine (Andoleno) MacPeek.
On October 26, 1963, she married Donald P. Thornton, Sr. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2004.
She is survived by Son- Donald Patrick Thornton, Jr. husband of Cindy, New Mexico; Daughter- Mary Carol wife of Dennis Piatt, Bedford; Son- Brian David Thornton husband of Amy, Long Island, NY; Brother- Charles Edward "Ed" MacPeek husband of Joanne, Ft. Myers, FL; Brother- Clarence Robert "Bob" MacPeek, Buffalo, NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Trace, Kate, Sam, Matthew, Libby and Molly.
Carol was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Ft. Myers, FL. She was employed at the New York State Electric and Gas Company in their customer service department. Carol was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held in Florida at a later date.
