Our beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother Carol C. MacGregor 83, of Mill Road, Schellsburg was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.
Carol was born in Schellsburg on April 11, 1936, daughter of the late Willard "Bill" E. and Ruth I. (Lambert) Colvin.
Carol married her High School sweetheart Donald Phillip MacGregor of Fishertown on March 30, 1957 and recently celebrated 62 wonderful years together. Together they have 4 children, Christi R. Wroe wife of Robert Wroe, Elizabeth City, NC; Son- Keith S. MacGregor, Lebanon; Son- Matthew W. husband of Shelly (Evans) MacGregor, Schellsburg; Daughter- Jennifer D. MacGregor, Dillsburg. Carol was a loving Grandmother to 7 wonderful children- Sarah Armstrong, Stevie Rohr, Allie MacGregor, Wyatt Easton, Gracie MacGregor, Mark MacGregor, and Brooklyn Kelly.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Nancy Colvin (Infant) and Margie Ferguson.
Carol was a 1953 graduate of Schellsburg Napier High School. She briefly attended Shippensburg State Teachers College and also completed Cosmetology school in Johnstown. She was an employee of Hoss's Steak and Seafood House for over 20 years in Bedford and Gettysburg.
She was a member of the Schellsburg and Old Log Church Historical Society and the Bedford County Christian Church of Everett.
A faithful servant of Christ, Carol was a prayer warrior and worked with many prayer circles for those in need of help.
We are blessed to know she had many friends and was a light in the darkness for many people. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Please join us as we celebrate this wonderful life. Friends will be received on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 27, 2019 with Pastor William Defibaugh, Jr. officiating.
Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery.
