Mr. Brian K. Pineda, 47, of Mill Road, Schellsburg, died at 9:49 PM, Friday, November 21st, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Pineda was born in Bedford on Sunday, October 22, 1967.

On October 11, 1992, he married Denise L. (Taylor) Pineda.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Keyan D. Pineda; Son- Jadyn K. Pineda; Brother- Wayne Emerick and four other siblings. Also surviving are special Aunts Lillian Kiser and Shirley Foor, brother-in-law Leighty Taylor and wife Cindy, brother-in-law Lenny Taylor and wife Carol, sister-in-law Trina Geisler and husband Greg, sister-in-law Tanya Becker, father-in-law Leighton Taylor, and mother-in-law Betty Miller, who he loved like his own mother.  Brian was preceeded in death by his father-in-law James Miller and his grandparents, the late John and Margaret Kiser, who reared him.

Brian was a member of the United Church of Schellsburg.  He served in the United States Air Force from 1993 - 1999.  Brian was a 1985 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School and then earned his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and later received a Masters Degree from Mount Aloysious College in Counseling.

Brian recently retired as a Unit Manager from the PA Department of Corrections after 18 years of service.  He loved his job and was loved and respected by his fellow correctional family at SCI-Laurel Highlands in Somerset.

Brian was a wonderful father and will be greatly missed by his wife, sons, family and friends, including a special childhood friend, Tina Claycomb and his special companion Willie, his white Standard Poodle.

A Funeral Service will be held at United Church of Schellsburg, Market Street, Schellsburg, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 26th, 2014 with Rev. Ruth Shaver officiating.

Interment will be held at  Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at United Church of Schellsburg.

Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Arrangements entrusted to Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
