Brenda J. ((Price)) Dodson

Brenda Joyce Dodson, 77, of Short Cut Road, Osterburg passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on August 26, 2019 after a fierce and courageous fight with leukemia. Brenda lived a life full of family and friends and was always ready for an adventure. She loved big family celebrations and traveling.

Mrs. Dodson was born in Cumberland, MD. on May 31, 1942, daughter of the late Stanley Price and Mary (Potts) Dibert.

On June 11, 1965 she married Calvin E. Dodson in Winchester, Va. He preceded her in death December 19, 2010. They had one daughter, Jill Linton, wife of Jerry Linton of Osterburg, PA

She is also survived by her only grandchild, Sarah Linton. Sarah was the light of her life. She was an amazing Mim creating special memories with Sarah that will last forever.

Also surviving are her siblings: Diana Smith, wife of Merle of Chambersburg, PA. Sheldon Price husband of Sharon (Ware) of Centerville, PA. They shared a strong bond and battled this disease alongside of her.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Her family was always foremost and she was so proud of all of them.

Brenda graduated from Bedford high school, class of 1960. She then first worked at Kennametal, Inc for 10 years. She returned to Altoona Beauty School and owned and operated her own salon, Brenda Dodson Beauty Shop for 30 years.

She attended Crossroads Bible Church.

Friends will be received on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9PM  and Friday, August 30, 2019 from 10-11AM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held  at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00AM on Friday, August 30th,  with Pastor Mark Dillow officiating.

Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.
