Mr. Brady Earl Lohr, 77, of Rocklick Hollow Road, New Paris, died at 9:05 AM, Friday, April 1st, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Lohr was born in Napier Township on Tuesday, May 9, 1933, the son of the late Earl Berkey and Darl Margaret (Fraizier) Lohr.
On November 5, 1953, he was united in marriage to Mable Annabelle (Miller) Lohr at the Evangelical Parsonage in Alum Bank by Rev. Berkebile.
In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Joseph Earl husband of Shirley (Hall) Lohr, Everett; Brother- Leyn Lohr, Schellsburg; Brother- Dean Lohr, Manns Choice; Brother- Dick Lohr, Schellsburg. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Tasha Hall and Timberly Lohr.
Brady was a 1953 graduate of Schellsburg High School. He was a member of the Alum Bank United Methodist Church. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Brady was employed for 32 years at the Johnstown Plant of Bethlehem Steel Corporation in the bar, rod and wire mill. He was a member of the Schellsburg VFW Post # 4440.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 4th, 2011 with Rev. Gary Donaldson officiating.
Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard
Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
