Mr. Blaine W.  Hurley, 71, formerly of Manns Choice, passed away at 5:15 PM, Monday, February 11th, 2013 at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.

Mr. Hurley was born in Buffalo Mills on Tuesday, October 21, 1941,  he was the son of the late Raymond and Ethel (Sheirer) Hurley.

On December 30, 1972, he was united in marriage to Mary Lynne (Holmes) Murin Hurley. In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Brian Hurley of AZ; Step Son- Michael husband of  Susan (Robertson) Murin, Manns Choice; Step Daughter- Shay wife of  Richard Horner, Belden; Step Daughter- Raegan wife of  Robert Wiley, Manns Choice; Sister- Anna widow of  Wayne Oldham, Johnstown; Sister- Esther wife of  John Wolfhope, Wolfsburg; Brother- Lee husband of  Lois Hurley, Everett; Brother- Steve husband of  Diane Hurley, Manns Choice. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Torie Rose, Zachary & Kyle Horner and Shane & Cory Murin, and four great grandchildren, Tempra & Jensun Claycomb and Theran & Olivia Murin.  Blaine is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jodie Lynne and by an infant brother, Jimmie Hurley.

After he completed his education, Blaine served as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corp for four years including service in the war in Vietnam.  After his service to his country, he returned home to work many jobs throughout his life.  He retired from the Hardly Able Lumber Co., a sawmill that he owned and operated.  Blaine was a member of the Schellsburg VFW Post #4440 and the Bedford American Legion Post #113.  He was also an honorary member of the Buffalo Rod & Gun Club of Manns Choice.

Services will be private and held at the family's convenience.
