Mrs. Beverly A. Cummings, 66, of Poplar Ave., New Paris died Friday, October 18th, 2013 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Cummings was born in Pittsburgh on Thursday, January 30, 1947,  the daughter of the late  Joseph  Hartz and Dolores Hartz-Brown.

On November 1, 1986, she married Willard Keith Cummings.

In addition to her husband she is survived by Daughter- Kimberly Chichy, Clymer; Son- Michael husband of  Sue Costello, Millford, DE; Daughter- Amanda Namneh, New Paris; Son- Timothy Costello, Lancaster; Brother- Joseph husband of  Kathy Hartz, Marion Center; Brother- David Hartz, Marion Center. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Winter, Sophia, Caris, Hannah, Kylie, Jayna, Rachel, Crystal & Hayley, and seven great grandchildren, Bryan, Mariah, Conner, Odin, Kiera, Siraj & Adalina. She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Brown.

Bev was a bartender at The Office Lounge in Baldwin and at The Pitt Club in Oakland.  After moving to Bedford County, she opened BevyAnn's Thrift Shop in the Trademark Plaza in Fishertown.  Bev was of the Catholic faith.  She loved going to yard sales and flea markets, crafting, especially with her grandkids, acting and the theater, she was known best for her performances as Clara the Clown.  Bev's greatest joy were her grandchildren, she took so much delight spending time with them and watching them grow.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

A celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at the Community Bible Church in Fishertown with Pastor Ned Donaldson officiating.

Arrangements entrusted to Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
