Beulah Arlene (Welch) Smouse

Beulah Arlene Smouse, loving mother and grandmother went to be with Jesus on June 4th, 2018.  She was born June 13th, 1927 in Breezewood, PA to her parents Mamie Rae (Feight) and John Henry Welch.

Beulah was a graduate of Bedford High School.  On November 20, 1946 Beulah married Paul Raymond Smouse who preceded her in death in 1994.  Also preceding her in death are her two brothers, Henry and Harold, infant daughter, Lois Jean and grandson, Raymond Lee.  Surviving are daughters Judith of York, PA; Paula (fiancée of Larry) of York, PA; Sandra (wife of Rodney) of Chandler, AZ; Carol of Tempe, AZ and her son Larry of Phoenix, AZ.  Beulah had ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Beulah lived in and around Bedford until 1970 when the family moved to Phoenix, AZ.  She was a class A homemaker, always doing and giving to her family and community.  She enjoyed cooking/baking, sewing, gardening, volunteering, music, games and watching wild life.  She taught us all to be kind, considerate, patient, forgiving, and loving.  She always reminded us to make the best of and be thankful for all we had.  She always put others first.

Beulah was a recipient of the Masonic Blue Slipper pin for her service in the Easter Star organization.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 10-11 AM at the Louis Geisel Funeral Home, 330 East Pitt Street, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 11AM at the Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford with Rev John Ludwig officiating.

Interment will be at Bedford Memorial Park, Bedford.
