Betty "Muzzy" J. (Hite) Wilson

Betty J. "Muzzy" Wilson, 91, of Bedford, died at Altoona Center for Nursing Care Amber Terrace in Altoona on Friday, June 26, 2020.

She was born in Six Mile Run on September 3, 1928, daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Price) Hite.

On December 5, 1965 Betty married Robert L. Wilson. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2013.

Muzzy is survived by daughter- Barbara Sheirer, Litiz; Son- Ed husband of Gail Basore, Duncansville. She is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings and Son-Gary Basore.

She was the last living member of a family of twelve siblings, four brothers- John, Daniel, Thomas and Joseph Hite Jr., and seven sisters- Alice Daugherty, Mildred Miller, Mary Graffious, Helen Smith, June Scrianko, Thelma Amick and Dorothy Holderbaum

Muzzy enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, bowling, baking and canning.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 5-7PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.

Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
