Betty D. (Diehl) Geisel-Vida

Mrs. Betty D. Geisel-Vida, 84, of Bedford, died at 10:00 PM, Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 at Pennknoll Village.

Betty was born in Everett on Saturday, February 14, 1931,  the daughter of the late Merle and Vera (May) Diehl.

She was married to Frederick E. Vida.  In addition to her husband she is survived by Daughter- Shelba J. wife of  Ronald Purtle, Mechanicsburg; Son- L. Eugene husband of  Kathy Feight, McGaheysville, VA; Sister- Donna wife of  Gordon Thomas, Wooster, OH. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Benton, Charles, Shannan & Hunter.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Louis Geisel.

Betty was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Bedford and previously worked for the Bedford County Association for the Blind.

A funeral service was held privately on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford with Pastor Joe Puleo officiating.

Interment was held at Everett Cemetery.
