Ms. Bethel M. Harr, 100, of Pleasant Hollow Road, Alum Bank (Lovely), died at 5:27 PM, Tuesday, May 13th, 2014 at Pennknoll Village.

Miss Harr was born in Lincoln Township on Sunday, September 7, 1913,  the daughter of the late Blaine and Ida (McDannell) Harr.

She is survived by  Nephew- Tim husband of  Angie  Harr; Nephew- Stephen Harr; Nephew- Wes Harr; Great Niece- Dee (Harr) wife of  Douglas Miller; Great Nephew- Shawn husband of  June (Wilson) Harr; Great Nephew- Curtis husband of  Kristy (Fleegle) Harr; Niece-in-Law- Beverly (Sipes) Harr and many other great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph G. Harr, Carl E. Harr and his wife Anne and Kenneth E. Harr and his wife Alda and by a sister, Edna F. Harr and a nephew C. Dennis Harr.

Bethel was a member of the Mt. Union United Methodist Church since 1926, where she was a Sunday School Teacher.  She was employed as a school teacher and taught at schools in Lincoln Township & Kimmel Township in Bedford County, retiring from teaching in 1975 from Claysbrug-Kimmel School District in Blair County.  Bethel enjoyed teaching, reading, crocheting, cooking and gardening.

At the request of the deceased, a private graveside services will be held at Mt. Union Cemetery, Lovely. with Pastor Brad Price officiating.

Arrangements entrusted to Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Pleasantville.
