Bernice M. (Sanders) Addington

Mrs. Bernice M. Addington, 87, of Addington Road, Breezewood died Tuesday, July 29th, 2014 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mrs. Addington was born in Petersburg, Huntington County on Friday, December 31, 1926,  the daughter of the late Lester and Grace (Shoup) Sanders.

On July 16, 1945, she married George L. Addington.  In addition to her husband she is survived by Daughter- Karen wife of  Douglas Potter, Breezewood; Son- Kenneth Addington and girlfriend, Lori, Stewardstown; Son- Kirby Addington, Breezewood; Brother- Garry husband of  Dorothy Sanders, Baltimore; Sister-in-Law- Lorraine Sanders. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Charlene, Bruce, Brian, Jennifer, Cory & Danielle  and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty & Joyce and by four brothers, Jack, Dale, Bruce & Ray.

Bernice was a self employed hair dresser for 15 years.  She also was employed at Esskay Hotdog Manufacturing in Baltimore for 13 years.  Bernice enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, playing solitaire on the computer, word find puzzles and flower gardening.

A Graveside Service will be held at  at Union Memorial Cemetery, Mench, East Providence Township at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 2nd, 2014 with Pastor Jay Saxe officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Memorial Cemetery Association, 1413 S Breezewood Rd., Breezewood, PA 15533 or to the funeral home.
