Bernard W. "Turk" Ferguson, 80, of Pitt Street, Schellsburg, went to his eternal home with Jesus Wednesday, April 7th, 2021 at UPMC Altoona Hospital, Blair County.
Mr. Ferguson was born in East St. Clair Twp. on July 25, 1940, son of the late Clark "Friday W. and Jeanette L. (Crissey) Ferguson.
In addition to his wife Ida Jane Ferguson he is survived by Son- Brad Ferguson, fiance Karla Shipe, Everett; Son- David husband of Amanda Ferguson, Schellsburg; Loving daughter-in- law Dawn Howsare, Daughter- Cindy Ferguson, Fresno; Son- Dwayne Ferguson, Canada; Daughter- Cathy Ferguson, CA; Daughter- Betty Ferguson, Fresno; Step-daughter- Cathy wife of Dan Hockenberry, Breezewood; Step-son- Terry Nave fiance Amy Ford, Bedford; Step-daughter- Lisa wife of Clarence (Pickle) Deremer, Breezewood; Grandchildren- Kerri "Babygirl", Kyle, Racey, Aleigha, Mindy, Megan, Jessie, Nathan Jr., Airyella, Amanda, Emily, Ashley, Tristan and Trevin; Numerous Great-grandchildren; Brother- Leonard "Mick" husband of Euda (Claycomb) Ferguson, Bedford; Sister- Betty widow of Bert Miller, Bedford; Brother- Donald "Gabby" husband of Nancy (Vaughn) Ferguson, Schellsburg; Brother- Clark Ferguson, Jr. husband of Joyce (Foor) Ferguson, Carlisle; Brother- Ronald husband of Nadine (Bailey) Ferguson, Schellsburg. Turk was preceded in death by step-son- Nathan Nave Sr. and wife Tina Nave, brother- Dale Ferguson and brother Dave Ferguson whom passed away on April 5, 2021 and Nephew Lenny Ferguson.
Turk was a loving father and grandfather. He ran the Amco station in Schellsburg in the late 70's and early 80's. He also ran the Gulf Station in Schellsburg during the mid to late 80's. Turk retired from PennDOT as a mechanic or as some would call it the "Mechanical Cook". One of his favorite passions was being surrounded by family and friends and cooking for everyone. Everybody loved his cooking. He enjoyed slow rides around the Ridge with his dogs Snoopy and then Jacky all while having his Babygirl by his side. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Friends will be received on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 4-8PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg with a Memorial Service held at 8PM with Pastor Dan Oldham.
