Barbara L. (Housel) Imler

Mrs. Barbara L. Imler, 66, of Bridgetop Dr., Bedford, passed away Wednesday, January 14th, 2015 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mrs. Imler was born in Cumberland, MD. on Saturday, August 7, 1948,  the daughter of Annabelle (Corley) Housel of Bedford and the late  Eugene H. Housel.

On March 7, 1970, she married John M. Imler.  In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by Daughter- Kelly J. wife of  Mike Greenwald, Everett; Daughter- Brandee D. wife of  Dusty Pittman, Everett; Granddaughter- BreAnn wife of  Nelson Shaffer, New Paris; Granddaughter- Courtney Greenwald, Everett; Grandson- Kendall Pittman, Everett; Sister- Dianne wife of  Charlie Connor, North Carolina.

Barb was an operator and manager for 18 years at United Telephone and then was a legislative secretary for US Representative Dick Hess for 19 years until her retirement in 2014.    She looked forward to trips to Rocky Gap & Charlestown with her husband & special friends, Ron and Nancy.  Barb was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She will be remembered for the joy and laughter she brought into so many people's lives.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 17th, 2015 with Jim Miller officiating.

Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Bedford.
