Barbara Anne (Weimer) Montag

Mrs. Barbara Anne Montag, 66, of Bard Hollow Road, Buffalo Mills, died Wednesday, November 19th, 2014 at her home.

Mrs. Montag was born in Pittsburgh on Monday, October 25, 1948,  the daughter of the late Harry and Elsie (Timmerman) Weimer.

On September 30, 1967, she married Donald C. Montag.  In addition to her husband she is survived by Son- Donald C. Montag, Jr. husband of  Susan (Carling), Beaver Dam, VA; Son- David C. Montag and girlfriend Wendy Windows, Bedford; Sister- Shirley Melius, New Paris; Brother- Eugene Jimmerson, Georgia. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Benjamin, Samantha, Maggie & Henry.

Barb was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Baltimore.  She was a homemaker and a counselor for Bedford County Children and Youth Services.  Barb was an accomplished quilter.  She was a member of the School House Quilter's and had her work displayed often and she also ran the Bedford County Historical Society's Quilt Show.  Barb was always willing to lend a helping hand and was happiest when she was with her beloved grandchildren.  Barb was a caring and loving wife, mother, Mema, sister and friend who will be missed greatly.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 25th, 2014 with Father Richard Tomkosky officiating.

Interment will be held at St. Johns Cemetery, New Baltimore.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2:00 - 6:00 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.
