Barbara J. (Shippey) Deeter
October 13, 1942 — November 21, 2015
Mrs. Deeter was born in Juniata Township on Tuesday, October 13, 1942, the of the late Ralph S. and Mary E. (Adams) Shippey.
On September 25, 1965, she married Jack W. Deeter. In addition to her husband, she is survived by Son- Scott W. husband of Pamala (Baldwin) Deeter, Winchester, VA; Daughter- Jane R. wife of Monte Mitchell, Denton, MD; Grandchildren- Kyle Deeter, Shannon Davis, Tasha Locke, Amanda Mitchell & Caleb Mitchell; Great Granddaughter- Autumn Markson; Brother- S. Alton Shippey, Manns Choice; Twin Sister- Beverly wife of Thomas Stiffler, Manns Choice; Sister-in-Law- Jean Shippey, Martinsburg. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ned Shippey.
Barb was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Manns Choice. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ, Manns Choice. at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 25th, 2015 with Pastor Cheryl Ward officiating.
Interment will be held at Dry Ridge Cemetery, Manns Choice.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg and Wednesday 10:30 - 11:00 AM at the church.
