Arthur E. "Gene" Waybright

Arthur E. "Gene" Waybright, 74, of Grand View Ave., Everett, PA, went to his eternal home with Jesus on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home, Bedford, PA.

Mr. Waybright was born in Keyser, WV on July 21, 1947, son of the late Elliott E. and Miriam L. (Stullenbarger) Waybright.

Gene was a 1965 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School.

Mr. Waybright served his Country in the US Army as a Pvt.

On July 1, 1972, Gene married Karen R. (Claycomb) Waybright. Together they shared 49 years of wedded bliss.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Sister- Dee Waybright, Osterburg; Brother- James "Jim" husband of  Nicole Waybright, Osterburg; Brother- Kenny Waybright, Osterburg; Brother-in-Law- Ken Schwirian, Osterburg; Sister-in-Law- Nina  wife of  Russel Miller, New Paris; nieces and nephews Melanie wife of  Rick McDonald; Stephanie wife of  Shawn Miller; Dawn wife of  Brad Hess; Tyler Miller and signficant other Hannah; James Waybright, Jr. "LJ"; Daylene Waybright; Kelly wife of  Scott Miller; Michelle Markle; Devyn Schwirian and numerous great nieces and nephews.  Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, sister- June Schwirian and brother-in-law- Richard Claycomb.

Gene was retired from Kennametal where he was a Maintenance Supervisor.

He was affiliated with the St. Peters Lutheran Church, Osterburg, PA.

Gene volunteered at the New Paris Food Bank and spent much time helping at the Osterburg Community Cemetery. He could often be found working in the garage where he greatly enjoyed working on projects to help other people. Gene loved his K-9 companions and was especially fond of the Golden Retriever Breed. He enjoyed the outdoors and hiking. Gene was a genuine kind- hearted and hardworking man who touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Interment will be held at Osterburg Community Cemetery.
