Mrs. Arnedia Jane Sphon, 49, of Everett, passed away at 1:27 AM, Thursday, October 30th, 2014 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Sphon was born in Tyrone on Thursday, September 30, 1965, daughter of the late Vaughn T. & Betty Jane (Frantz) Phillips.
On April 1, 2003, she married Clifford A. Sphon. In addition to her husband she is survived by Daughter- Nicole M. wife of Christopher Chamberlain, Breezewood; Daughter- Cassandra L. Pasquale, Bedford; Son- Mark J. Smithmyer, Jr., Everett; Sister- Sandy wife of Mike Friedenberger; Sister- Peggy wife of Thomas Gray; Sister- Debra wife of Edward Gray; Sister- Martha Phillips; Sister- Lisa Frania-Phillips; Half Sister- Becky Phillips; Half Brother- Jerry Cruz; Step Mother- Mary B. Phillips; Step Sister- Chris Shaffer; Step Sister- Kimberly Shaffer. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Lillian, Chase, Elizabeth, Devlin, Dominic & Alex and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many many friends. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Markie Ann, maternal grandparents, Norman & Blanche Frantz, paternal grandparents, Ernest & Martha Phillips and by a brother, Gary Allen.
Arnedia was a truck driver and, along with her husband, worked for U.S. Bulk Transportation, Inc. out of Erie.
For Arnedia, family came first, whether it was shopping with her grandchildren, having long talks over morning coffee with her daughter or hosting a sleep over at her home, being with her loved ones brought the most joy to this grandmother of six's life. She had a great appreciation for travel and especially enjoyed trips to Las Vegas. Arnedia enjoyed camping, being at the lake and taking time to have her nails done. She was a person who always put other's needs ahead of her own and she will be greatly missed and forever loved by all those who were privileged to know her.
A funeral service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Everett at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 4th, 2014 with Rev, Robert Robertson officiating.
Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Everett.
