Ardell S. Horn

Ardell S. Horn, 77, of Smokey Ridge Road, Schellsburg,  died at 11:40 PM, Monday, October 7, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Horn was born in Juniata Twp. on March 5, 1942,  son of the late Byron and Flora (Suder) Horn.

On June 2, 1963 Ardell married Shelby Jean (McCreary) Horn she preceded him in death on April 19, 2016.

He is survived by  Son- Jeffrey L. husband of  Amy (Rose) Horn, Schellsburg; Grandchildren Levi, Kirsten, Miranda and Addison; Great-Grandchildren Keyser and Braelynn; Close Friend and Companion Mary Louise Lewis, Schellsburg.  Ardell is preceded in death by his Wife; Brother- Robert Horn and Grandson- Ryan Horn.

For 36.5 years Ardell was employed by the PA Turnpike Commission; 16 of those years at the tunnel and the other 20.5 as a Mechanic.

He was a member of Christ Victory Church in New Buena Vista.

Ardell was an avid hunter. He greatly enjoyed antique tractors as well as antique automobiles.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

A funeral service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00AM on Friday, October 11, 2019 with Rev. James Golla officiating.

Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery.
