Anna was a homemaker and farm lady all her life. Her work on the farm began when she was a girl helping her dad with the barn work and in the fields. She continued working in the fields and with animals after she and Fred bought the Harrison family farm in 1952.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and bake and “spoiled” her family with many good meals and special treats. She was an avid gardener, who spent many hours cultivating, harvesting and processing the vegetables that she grew. She loved to be outdoors to hear the birds and see the wonders of creation. She also delighted in sending cards on all occasions to family and friends.
Anna was a life-long member of Point United Methodist Church. She spent many hours reading her Bible and Sunday School quarterly to prepare for each week’s Sunday School lesson. She also enjoyed being part of the congregational singing and worship there.
The family wishes to thank the nurses of Conemaugh Home Health Service and the nurses and staff of Windber Hospice, especially Elaine, Heather, Marie and Nadine for their dedicated care of our mother. We thank everyone who has kept her and us in your thoughts and prayers.
