Anna Mae Emrick, 89, of Private Glen Lane, Bedford, formerly of Alum Bank died at 6:36 AM, Sunday, May 5 2019 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Mrs. Emrick was born in Windber on April 27, 1930, the daughter of the late Calvin and Gladys Mae (Blackburn) Shaffer.
On January 13, 1973 Anna Mae married Homer E. Emrick, Jr. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2012.
She is survived by Daughter- Donna Jean (Horne) Clark, Bedford; Son- Earl F. husband of Jeannie (Fisher) Horne, Bedford; Daughter- Darlene Ann (Horne) wife of Dean McCloskey, Bedford; Son- Gary L. husband of Tammy (Franks) Horne, Kenosha, WI; Daughter- Connie Mae Horne, Schellsburg; Daughter- Sandra K. (Horne) wife of Charles Claycomb, Osterburg; Son- Todd Horne, Queen; Step Son- Edward Emrick, Bedford; Step Son- James Emrick, Cumberland, MD; Step Son- Donald Emrick, Centerville; Half Sister- Patricia Kipp, Schellsburg. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren.
Anna Mae is preceded in death by her first husband Francis R. Horne he preceded her in death on November 6, 1968, her second husband Homer E. Emrick, Jr., Grandson Rock Clark, Granddaughter Crystal Benton and Great-grandson Jace Stufft, Brother Calvin Shaffer and Half-brother Benny Blackburn
Mrs. Emrick worked as a Packer at Hedstrom in Bedford for 14 years. She was also employed by Bestform in Johnstown, the Lakeview Restaurant, Schellsburg, Fairfoot Shoe, EverettSenior Center, Bedford Springs, and Sunco of Cessna.
Anna Mae was a member of Ryot Church of Nazarene.
She was a life member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary #4440 of Schellsburg and New Baltimore Sportsmen Club.
Anna Mae enjoyed baseball and playing cards.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 4-8PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 9,2019 with Pastor Kevin Davis officiating.
Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery.
