Anna C. (Martin) Hillegass-Burkett

Mrs. Anna C. Hillegass-Burkett, 93, of Juniata St., New Baltimore, died Sunday, August 20th, 2017 at Colonial Courtyard.

Mrs. Hillegass-Burkett was born in Allegheny Township,Somerset County on August 9, 1924,  the daughter of the late Louis and Cecelia (Suttmiller) Martin.

On November 9, 1946, She married Charles Fred Hillegass.  He preceded her in death on February 28 1994.  She then married Paul Burkett on November 20 2004 and he preceded her in death on July 16, 2013.

She is survived by  Sonr- Alan husband of  Connie (Klink) Hillegass, Uniontown; Daughter- Patricia wife of  Patrick Stoe, New Baltimore; Son- Andrew husband of  Kathy (Kolivoski) Hillegass, State College; Daughter- Joan wife of  David Darr, Berlin; Three Step Children- Kathy, Jim & Gary (Jan) Burkett.  Anna is also survived by 10 grandchildren, five step grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Stayrook, Rosella McGough, Zita Speicher, Gertrude Long & Mary Ann Martin and her brothers, Leo Martin and Cyril Martin.

Anna was a homemaker and a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Baltimore.  She was a lovely woman and a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and she will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017 with Father Aron Maghsoudi celebrant.

Committal Services will be held at St. Johns Cemetery, New Baltimore.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home Schellsburg where a vigil for the deceased will be held.
