Mrs. Ann Jean Kaminski, 76, of Maple Drive, Lakewood Manor, Bedford passed away Tuesday, September 25th, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Kaminski was born in Hazleton on Thursday, August 20, 1936, a daughter of the late Carlo and Angeline (Diana) Piccola.
On July 12, 1958, she was united in marriage to Joseph S. Kaminski at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Hazleton.
In addition to her husband she is survived by Daughter- JoAnn C. wife of Patrick Bittlebrun, Schellsburg; Daughter- Karen R. wife of Ronald Nicodemus, Bedford; Sister- Catherine wife of Richard Sager, Hazleton; Sister- Rose widow of James Palko, Hazleton; Brother- Carl Piccola, Hazleton. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Justyna M. Bittlebrun, Jeremy M. Bittlebrun and Bryan J. Nicodemus and she is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kayla Ann Nicodemus and four brothers, Joseph, James, Michael and John
Ann was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bedford and was an active member of the St. Thomas Ladies Guild. Ann was a 1954 graduate of Hazleton High School. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her children and grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Bedford, PA. at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 28th, with Father Donald Dusza celebrant.
Committal services will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 5:00-9:00 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Kayla Nicodemus Scholarship Endowment Fund at St. Thomas Church, 245 E. Penn Street, Bedford, PA 15522.
