Alma L. ((Leventry)) Barefoot

Alma L. (Leventry) Barefoot, 88, of Wesley Drive Johnstown, formerly of Alum Bank, died at 7:40 PM, Sunday, December 2nd, 2018 at Windber Hospice, Somerset County.

Mrs. Barefoot was born in Johnstown on May 1, 1930, the daughter of the late E. Bruce and Rhea M. (Hershberger) Leventry.

On October 22, 1949 Alma married H. Fred Barefoot.

In addition to her husband she is survived by Daughter- Gail B. Shaughnessy, Longwood, FL; Daughter- Judy B. wife of  Chip Connelly, Winchester, VA; Son- Thomas F. husband of  Julie (Raulinson) Barefoot, Decatur, GA; Son- Rick B. husband of  Trudy (Weyant) Barefoot, Alum Bank. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.

Alma is preceded in death by Sisters- Anna Kathryn Reininger and Julia Reininger.

She was a  Housewife and a member of Bedford Springs Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star.

Alma was a member of Alum Bank United Methodist Church, Alum Bank where she was very instrumental in forming Youth Choir and the Prayer Chain as well as an active member of the Women's Society.

Friends will be received on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Alum Bank United Methodist Church, Alum Bank, at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 10, 2018 with Pastor Shane Siciliano officiating.

Interment at Richland Cemetery, Johnstown.
