Alice J. Felten

Ms. Alice June (Simmons) Felten, 89, of Schellsburg, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at her home in Schellsburg.

Alice was born in Johnstown on June 22, 1934, daughter of the late Daniel Webster Simmons and Nelly (Stutzman) Simmons.

On September 14, 1957, she married her husband James L. "Lindy" Felten, who preceded her in death on December 12, 2007.

Alice was so proud and loved her family so very much. She is survived by son- Jeffrey J. Felten, of Bedford; son- Timothy P. Felten, of Schellsburg; son- Michael C. Felten husband of Susannah V. (Faupel) Felten, of Schellsburg; along with five grandchildren: David P. Felten, Farrah I. Woodring, Steven L.M. Felten, Victor D. Faupel-Persons, Kyle T.C. Bryan; and four great-grandchildren: Oliver, Deacon, Lindy, Maeve. Alice is preceded in death by four half-sisters and one half-brother: Margaret, Helen, Juanita, Paul and Jean.

Alice was a member of the United Church of Schellsburg, where she served the Lord on many committees and was the Choir Director for many years. Alice loved to sing not only at the Church but with singing groups like the Lorelei.

She worked at Bestform Factory in Johnstown in the 1950's. She also worked at the Lake View Lounge and sold Avon door to door for numerous years. Alice loved to bowl and was in many leagues.

A visitation Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 PM at United Church of Schellsburg UCC, Schellsburg, PA.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 12 PM at United Church of Schellsburg with Pastor Linda Kibler and Pastor James Neatrour officiating.

Alice's wishes were, that she would be cremated and her cremains to be spread at the family's discretion.

Alice would like everyone to come together for a Celebration of Life! She would love for everyone to wear bright colors and come with their happy memories to share!
