Mr. Alan C. Beaner, 59, of Dunkard Hollow Road, Alum Bank, died at 6:20 PM, Tuesday, December 27th, 2011 at his home after an extended illness.

Mr. Beaner was born in W. St. Clair Township on Sunday, May 18, 1952, the son of the late Cletus and Stella (Wissinger) Beaner.

On December 21, 1974, he married Ruth A. (Spade) Beaner.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Alan L. Beaner, at home; Sister- Edna Mae wife of  Don Wishard, Bedford; Sister- Nancy widow of  Sherman McClucas, Manns Choice; Sister- Darlene Beaner, Hope, AR; Sister- Betty wife of  David Webb, New Paris; Sister- Doris Myers, Ft. Worth, TX; Brother- Joseph Beaner, MD; Brother- George Beaner, Alum Bank.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Beaner and David Beaner and by two sisters, Mae Kinzey and Barbara Wissinger

Alan was a 1971 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School and a former member of the Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren.  He was previously employed at Thiele's in Windber, West St. Clair Township, Creative Pultrusions, Alum Bank and Helsel's Lumber Mill in Blue Knob.  Alan enjoyed driving trucks, hunting and spending time with his family and faithful dog, Snuggle.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville,  at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 30th, 2011 with Pastor Daniel Oldham officiating.

Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Conemaugh Hospice, 315 Locust Street
Johnstown, PA 15901 to honor the excellent care that Alan recieved.
